Training

Our team has been at the heart of agricultural training for over 20 years, as we have worked with vets and farmers developing key skills to improve animal health and welfare and grow farm business success.

From the early days of ATB training delivery to the nationally recognised FarmSkills program today we have been at the forefront of farmer training.

As XLVet members, we developed, piloted and still run the highly successful and award winning FarmSkills and VetSkills programme across the UK. Three of our team were founder directors of XLVets Training services Ltd which continues to lead the FarmSkills and VetSkills brand forwards on behalf of XLVets to this day.  We strive to be innovative and this has recently resulted in successful development of graduate training programs and veterinary technician training.

The RAFT team have project management expertise including skills and experience of large scale national contract management for DEFRA and large agri-food businesses.

We have fifteen LANTRA Awards approved veterinary trainers in our company – and another two are undergoing accredited training.

We offer the full scope of farm training from day one core livestock skills through to bespoke training plans for progressive farms. We deliver Artificial Insemination training through our independent DEFRA approved licence and practical hoof-care and foot trimming to the level of NACFT licensed foot trimmer standard through our team of Licensed foot trimmers and Dutch Foot Trimming Diploma holders.

Our passion for skills development also extends to running highly specialised technical courses for vets on subjects including embryo transfer, ruminant nutrition and bovine genetics.

So whether it is in the delivery of national knowledge exchange programs, practical farm training or bespoke technical training for farmers, vets or those working in the wider livestock community, the RAFT team have something to offer. We always work hard to access support for skills wherever we can so we are pleased to be able to offer subsidised courses in many cases, please ask if we can help you met your training needs as well.
